Notes description is spot on, great coffee to change up the routine. 17:1 ratio was perfect brew, noticed more sweetness when water was hotter.

This one tasted a pit sharper and not as creamy as I would like. I didn't dislike it but don't particularly want to go back. My next one appears to be a lighter roast which I'm eager to try.

Love the chocolate notes in this, have to grind this more than most beans I’ve had in the past. Solid choice again :) However, would prefer to stay with espresso beans vs a dark roast like this one.

If you like deep, dark coffee beans like I do, there is nothing to recommend this selection that is medium roast. I ended up hucking it in the compost. Not sure why I received this.

Fantastic coffee. Among the best espresso pulls I've ever had. Rich, toasty without being overpowering, burnt sugars, it was amazing. I'd drink this again.

A bit gritty, earthy, subtle wild mushroom (not as weird as it sounds). Then get hit with dark chocolate covered cherries. My palate is strange.

Couldn't resolve the featuring notes (usually, I can). Tried different concentrations (pour over), but couldn't bring them out. It was smooth. Works well as espresso, though.

(I think I initially reviewed the wrong one, and this is the one I meant to review.) I loved this one! It tasted very well-balanced. I still liked it at different times of day and with or without food, and usually that has a big effect for me on whether or not coffee tastes good. Please keep this one in the rotation!

I have had a subscription to Mistobox for two years and this is the only coffee I have thrown away because I disliked it so much. I found it too thin and insubstantive but also really bitter.

I brew with Moccamaster drip coffee. Immediately smacked with the notes of chocolate/nuttiness' described from the bag. Smells absolutely amazing and tastes the same. It's my first bag from Misto but a great way to start. Next will be something of the opposite descriptors to calibrate what I like. Description is exactly right: Chocolate, Dark Sugars, etc.

I am a fan of their Blue Orchid Blend and wanted to try a darker roast. This was also good and made a nice latte.

As someone who normally likes a light-med dark roast, I thought upon my first sip that this was too dark. Further sipping revealed that this was the equivalent to about 65% dark chocolate and one to sip and savour rather than chug. JUST the right side of it being “too dark”. Lovely, full bodied, vibrant, smooth, complex enough to keep you coming back.

Tried multiple brew methods, including espresso, pour over and aeropress and just could not get the flavor right. Was either too bitter or too earthy for my taste. This is one of the few coffees that I have been unable to find the right taste by experimenting with multiple brew methods, I do not know what I did wrong here.

I was very pleased with my first cup today. I am looking forward to making my signature coffees with this blend. The dark sugars gave a Cuban Espresso flavor. the Chocolate and toffee taste is temping me to make a Summer Cappuccino with peach syrup in the froth. The overall nuttiness should hold up well to my macadamia nut syrup milk for an exotic latte.

After trying various grind settings on coffee grinder to make it more fine/coarse, thus far, none of the brews have really come out making this a must-have cup of coffee. Perhaps this has more sweetness than I prefer?
