Muddy flavor and not aromatic. It's as if the beans were not freshly roasted. Did not have a chocolate flavor or much sweetness such as molasses as suggested in the notes. I may need to change to a coarser grind or shorten bloom time. Not excited about this roast.
Update: I had to adjust the grind and amount of coffee to get the best extraction. More coarse grind and increase to 40 grams beans to 4 cups water to get a smooth chocolate undertone. Not robust enough for me. Will try tweaking the grind a bit. I see this is quite a delightful coffee. It's a me problem. Not the roaster. Changed rating to reflect my confidence that I will be able to adjust the grind to get a better flavor from the extraction.

verrrrrryyyyyy strong. too much for me. i am using it for lattes etc, but trying to drink just a normal shot by itself like my usual go to is, its overbearing.

I am learning that some beans are dull and some glimmer. These glimmer, and I love them. I guess that means they contain more oil... and I love them. The chocolate and molasses notes are spot on. I drink this black, after a five minute brew in a French Press, wearing a beret. Go in with your eyes open, like when you saw The Glimmer Man in the theater.

Absolutely awful. Greasy, over-roasted. Even the non-discerning coffee drinkers had to throw it out. Please never send this one again

While I do typically enjoy all the notes in this coffee, I didn't enjoy this one at all. It fell very flat, and kind of bitter.

I'd place this at "Dark". It's OK in milk espresso drinks, but too over-roasted to enjoy as a straight shot (for my tastes). The predominant notes are baking chocolate, anise, and tobacco.

LOVED the oily quality oof these beans, but it had a bitterness to it that I didn't;'t love (and yes I experimented with different grind sizes/weights)

My curator hit the center of the bullseye on this selection! Parisi's Italiano is very dark and has a very bold taste with rich subtleties that make me really look forward to my morning brew. One of the very best coffees I've ever had in 40+ years of drinking coffee.

Unbelievable bean! Probably the best flavour of any tried so far. It was perfectly balanced between a dark and light roast. Light chocolate notes and wet cardboard. Really excellent!

Loved this movie me. It is amount my top favorites. It is rich with depth of flavor. The notes are distinctive, well balanced and build as you drink. I was extremely sad when I reached the end with f my bag.

Very nice, balanced coffee that's actually a bit delicate for a dark roast. Very sweet and bright with a little bit of surprise citrus in there in a french press - a little light for us but overall good coffee. In a regular drip machine it was surprisingly darker and delicious!
